....Whilst I fear this post may be a little too late, it's certainly a worthy one. Amid plans to make cut backs at the BBC, this wonderful, unique, interesting and alternative station is rumoured to be the first to go.



Presenters like Lauren Laverne, (above), and the irrepressible Adam & Joe have found success here, but perhaps the problem is that it's a slightly niche market. Director General of the BBC, Mark Thompson, commented in the Guardian that the corporation must focus on providing quality and originality - but surely this is everything BBC 6 Music has going for it?! There is a Facebook page set up by way of a petition, here, so I urge you to log on, sign up and hope that the worst doesn't happen.
